Congratulations - we’ve made it to the end of another month! We hope you’ve had a lovely week and are enjoying the fact that it’s finally Spring. We don’t have much to update you on today, so we figured we’d give you all a bit of reading update as well!
UPCOMING EVENT - MEGACON!
This weekend, March 29th-30th, we will be at Megacon Live Birmingham! 💛 You’ll be able to find us at stall P7, and it would be lovely to see lots of you there!
We are also taking part in an Arcane themed Stamp Rally!
To join in, all you need to do is spend as little as £2 at every participating shop. After that, you just need to go to Khermsart’s stall to collect your artwork postcards, which includes this art of Warwick, by our very own Jamie!
It’s going to be such a fun weekend, and if any of you are attending, we hope you’re as excited as we are!
MARCH READS AT LITPINS!
Here’s what the LitPins team have been enjoying reading this month!
Jamie: Jamie has been busy this month rereading Lockwood&Co by Jonathan Stroud! She’s massively enjoying it, and has been reminded in particular of how much she likes The Creeping Shadow.
(As a quick side note, preorders are still open for our Lockwood&Co Legacy Edition Set! Art reveals will start from next month and it’s all looking incredible - we’re so excited to show you all how it’s been coming together!)
Hannah: Hannah has been entering her regency reading era, and has loved reading Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen and the unofficial sequel The Other Bennett Sister by Janice Hadlow! For those who haven’t heard of The Other Bennett Sister, it’s a 650 word chunk of a book focusing on Mary, and Hannah really enjoyed it.
She’s also read and loved A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers - she’s campaigning to get us to do merch and/or special editions for the series, but first she’ll have to get Jamie to read it!
Meg: I’ve had such a busy month at University this month, but have still managed to read two five star reads so far! Firstly, I read and adored The Dark Mirror by Samantha Shannon, the latest book in The Bone Season series - I adore this series so much and this installment was incredible!
After that, along with many of you I’m sure, I read the highly anticipated Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. Unsurprisingly I absolutely loved it, and the epilogue did nearly make me cry! I’m also currently reading and loving Blood Over Bright Haven by M.L. Wang, which is shaping up to be a new favourite book!
What have you been reading this month? Feel free to reply to this email and let us know!
Have a lovely week!
The LitPins&Co Team 💛
