Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well! Today’s email is a pretty important one, so please be sure to read to the end 💛
PPWR - TEMPORARY PAUSE ON EU SHIPPING
As many of you have likely seen, the EU has introduced new PPWR regulations, which come with huge amounts of administrative work and costs, and are therefore having a hugely detrimental impact on small businesses in particular.
As a result, we are having to TEMPORARILY PAUSE shipping to the EU. This is NOT a permanent change - we are actively working on getting everything needed in order, and will be reinstating shipping to the EU as soon as possible. We will be providing regular updates, and as soon as we have the paperwork and requirements completed for one country, we'll resume shipping to that country! We will be prioritising the countries where we have the largest customer base, which for us is Germany and France, with the hope of getting them sorted soon. Eventually, we will be getting all EU countries done though, so please don’t worry 💛
To avoid any confusion, here is a list of the 27 countries to which our shipping is temporarily paused: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden. If your country is not listed here, your orders will be shipped as usual.
Despite this, you can still place orders on our website from the EU! As our book sales operate as pre-orders, many won't be impacted by this at all as it is many months until we'll be shipping them. If the items you order/have ordered as pre-orders are in stock or will be arriving to us shortly, we will hold your order until we can resume shipping to your country - we will not be cancelling any orders unless you explicitly ask us to! If you have friends/relatives/etc in either a non-EU country or in Germany and France and would like to alter your shipping address so that your order can be shipped out faster to those destinations, please just get in touch with us at help@litpinsandco.com.
We completely understand how frustrating this is, and we're truly sorry. Please bear with us as we work as fast as we can to get this all sorted, and please remember that we don't make the rules - we're just following them!
CG DREWS ADDRESS CHECKS
Ahead of us receiving our special edition set of Don’t Let The Forest In and Hazelthorn on Monday (!!!!!!), Hannah has been hard at work sending out address checks to everyone who ordered a set! These emails also contain an early sneak peek at some upcoming merchandise, with a chance to add items to your order to save on shipping costs 🤭
If you have not yet replied to this email and either need to change your address or want to add items to your order, please do so BY SUNDAY! We don’t want any sets going to the wrong place!
Linking to the PPWR update above, we will unfortunately have to hold all Botanical Horror set orders that are going to EU countries until we are able to resume shipping, unless you are able to change your address to one outside of the EU (or to one in Germany or France, to reduce the wait time - just email us to do this!)
Please rest assured that we will NOT be cancelling your orders, and we will send you your sets as soon as physically possible! We know how long many of you have waited for this set and we are so sorry that there has been this last delay so close to dispatch - trust us, we’re utterly heartbroken, and working as fast as we can to resume shipping.
Stay tuned for photos and videos galore of the Botanical Horror set - all of us at Team LitPins are beyond excited!
CG DREWS SCRATCH AND DENT COPIES
On a very similar note, we’ve had a lot of questions about whether we anticipate having any copies available for a B-grade/Scratch and Dent sale of our special editions of Don’t Let The Forest In and Hazelthorn.
The short answer is (unfortunately) that we’re not sure! Essentially, we always hold back a number of copies/sets from sales so that we have some on reserve in case of any damages. This means that there are potentially around 150 sets which have not currently been sold! If these sets aren’t needed as there aren’t major damages, or if the damages are minor enough that there would be some available to be sold as B-grade sets, then we will be reaching out to those on our waitlist with a chance to purchase. If you’re not yet on the waitlist then we’d highly recommend joining, as this is the only way to be in with a chance to purchase a set. Based on the amount of people on the waitlist, there is essentially no chance at all that we will have a general sale if there are any additional sets.
WE’RE HIRING!
In other news, we’re hiring for a part-time Warehouse Assistant (20 hours a month) to work in our Birmingham warehouse!
This is an on-site role so all applicants must be either based within Birmingham or nearby. Being able to drive and having access to your own vehicle is also a requirement!
Starting salary is £13.50 per hour, with an increase to £15 an hour upon successful completion of the probationary period.
If this sounds like the job for you, check out this listing for all the information on the role and how to apply!
Good luck all - we can’t wait to read your applications!
ARTEMIS FOWL SLIPCASE REVEAL!
Finally, we’re so excited to show you all the slipcase for our Artemis Fowl books 1-4 special edition set, designed by Fjell (underpalewater)! We’re so obsessed with it, and with how the set as a whole is coming together!

Pre-orders are still available, and we’re now anticipating that these sets will ship in January 2027!
That’s all from us this week! Have a wonderful week everyone 🥰
