I hope you’re all doing well and are surviving the heatwave! I’m currently writing this on a train up to HQ to help get the last orders of An Education In Malice shipped out, and let’s just say I am looking forward to how cool our warehouse is 😅
Before I jump into today’s updates, I just want to say a big thank you to the wonderful Hannah for covering for me last week whilst I was off! I (Meg) am now back, so you’ve all got my rambling to look forward to 🙂↕️
Today’s newsletter contains some very important updates and information, so please be sure to read until the end!
NEW EU TARIFF
Firstly, we want to give you all a little update regarding the new €3 handling fee that has now been implemented across the EU. All parcels coming into the EU from a country outside the EU are now subject to this fee and because the UK is sadly no longer a part of the EU, this will include any orders we are shipping into the EU.
We have decided as a company that we will cover this fee for any orders (including pre-orders!) placed BEFORE JULY 1ST, so that customers don’t receive an unexpected surprise bill upon delivery.
However, for all orders placed after that date and going forwards, we will not be able to absorb the cost. We truly wish we could, but as a small company it simply is not financially viable for us to do so. We will continue to monitor the situation, and will of course update you if anything changes!
We are fully IOSS registered, so this new fee will be charged at checkout and there should not be any unexpected charges upon delivery. We’re so sorry about the additional cost, but we just want to remind all customers that this is entirely out of our control - we didn’t make the rules, we’re just following them!
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions regarding this, and we’re sorry that we couldn’t provide a more definitive update until now - we had to wait until our IOSS provider had confirmed their plans and Shopify had implemented the change, and this only happened this week!
BOTANICAL HORROR DELIVERY UPDATE
Let’s get all of the less good news out of the way shall we… (don’t panic - it’s nothing too bad!)
We’re gutted to tell you all that, whilst we had expected to receive our Botanical Horror sets mid-July, we have been informed that they now won’t be sent to us until mid-August. Whilst it could be worse, and it’s only a delay of a month, we know how long you’ve all been waiting and we’re so sorry!
We’ve been informed that this delay is due to an issue with printing slots and backlog at the publishers, and is entirely out of our control. As soon as we get the books we’ll all be descending on the warehouse to get them quality checked and shipped as soon as we physically can! We still hope to get all orders dispatched by the end of August, and will be working as hard as we possibly can to make this work, but please understand that there is a chance dispatch will stretch into September - there are only seven of us, and thousands of books to hand check!
Lizzie and Hannah will be in touch during the start of August for address checks, and to make up for the slight delay they will also be offering you all an early preview of our upcoming officially licensed CG Drews merchandise, which won’t be released until the end of August! You’ll be able to add any items to your order if you’re interested, which means you’ll save on shipping AND get your merch earlier.

IMMORTAL GAME DELIVERY UPDATE
In more exciting news, however, we are expecting to receive our special edition of Immortal Game from the printers in the week of July 20th! We’re hoping to get all pre-orders shipped in early August, and we hope you’re all as excited to see this edition in person as we are!
If you ordered a copy, keep an eye out for an email from either Hannah or Lizzie in the next few weeks to confirm your address and to see if you’d like any additional merchandise or special editions added to the shipment to help save on shipping. Once all address check emails have been sent, we’ll make sure to share in our newsletter and socials so no one misses it!

SCORPION DEEP ART REVEAL & WAITLIST
ICYMI, we revealed the slipcase for our special edition of Scorpion Deep the other day! This slipcase is by LitPins&Co’s founder Jamie-Lee Turner, and we are utterly obsessed with it!
This edition is now SOLD OUT (thank you for all your support!) but we have set up a waitlist! If we acquire any additional copies, or if there are any cancellations or if the copies we have set aside for damages aren’t needed, then those on the waitlist will be contacted on a first come first served basis with a chance to purchase a copy.
We hope you’re all as obsessed with this edition as we are - November cannot come soon enough!
COMIC CON MIDLANDS
In other news, we will be at Comic Con Midlands this weekend, July 11th and 12th! This event is held in the Birmingham NEC.
We’re so excited to hopefully see lots of you there - if you’re attending, be sure to come along to say hello and maybe even grab a book or some merchandise!
