Hi everyone!

We hope you’re all doing well, and are surviving this awful heatwave if you’re in the UK!

Before we get into today’s newsletter, we just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to see us at MCM London last weekend! We had such a wonderful time chatting with you all, and your support truly meant the world to us. We’ll be back at MCM London in October, and MCM Birmingham in August, so if you missed us this time then do not worry! Keep an eye on our socials for all of the convention updates.

Now, onto the newsletter! As we approach the end of May, we wanted to give you some updates about what to expect at LitPins&Co next month! 👀

AN EDUCATION IN MALICE!

Firstly, our next special edition, An Education In Malice, is arriving at our warehouse next week! We are SO excited to see the books in person and we hope you guys are too. As a reminder, here’s all of the artwork for this edition!

Pre-orders are still available here, but stock is limited! If you ordered a copy then please keep an eye on your inbox over the next few days as we’ll be sending out address checks shortly.

Once we have the books, we will get straight into quality checking and packing. If all goes well, then fingers crossed we’ll be able to start dispatching orders earlier than expected!

SPECIAL EDITIONS!

Speaking of special editions, we have LOTS of super exciting art reveals coming next month 🤭 If you’re waiting for the Scorpion Deep cover, the Vengeful covers, or more artwork for Artemis Fowl and Tomes and Tea, then keep an eye on our socials!

We also may have another special edition announcement coming soon… stay tuned 👀🔥

LOCKWOOD&CO!

With how many special editions we have incoming, we’ve also run into a slight issue in the shape of warehouse space… we only have 150 Lockwood&Co sets remaining but these are BIG sets so we need them gone!

Because of this, we have discounted our remaining sets by ÂŁ5, meaning they are now only ÂŁ135! As a reminder, each of these sets comes with five hand signed special edition hardbacks (A-Grade), a B-Grade slipcase (meaning there is minor cosmetic damage to the slipcase only), a pack of 15 page overlays, a letter from Jonathan, a numbered certificate of authenticity, and some biscuit stickers. Once these sets are gone, they will not be coming back, so grab one ASAP!

FREE READ GAY DO CRIME PINS!

As June is Pride Month, it’s also the return of our annual Pride pin promotion! For the whole month of June, get any Read Gay Do Crime pin FREE with orders over £25 before shipping! To claim the offer, simply add the pin of your choice to your basket before checking out. As long as the order is over £25, the Read Gay Do Crime pin will then be automatically discounted, making it free!

You can browse our currently available Read Gay Do Crime pins HERE but don’t forget that the promotion will not be live until Monday (June 1st).

MAY READING UPDATES

Finally, we just wanted to share some reading updates to close out May!

Meg: I finished reading four books this month - The Lotus Empire by Tasha Suri, Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Dreamland by Olivie Blake, and Clara and the Devil by Olivie Blake. I really enjoyed them all - as the #1 Olivie Blake fan I loved having two new books to read! Right now I’m reading The Ending Writes Itself by Evelyn Clarke and They Bloom at Night by Trang Thanh Tran and I’m loving them both so far!

Hannah: Hannah has continued her HTTYD journey and read How to Train Your Dragon: How To Speak Dragonese by Cressida Cowell. She’s been listening to the audiobooks read by David Tennant and is loving them! This month, she also picked up How To Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps by Andrew Rowe, which she thought was a fun take on the litrpg narrative and video game progression and levelling up, and Grief Eater by Emma Osborne, which she found to be a fun reflection on humanity and experiences and food.

Roo: Roo is our speediest reader here at LitPins&Co, and he’s managed to read five books this month! First, he picked up Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher, which they really enjoyed, before shifting over to a cosier series as a little palette cleanser and reading Brigands and Breadknives and Tales from the Territory, both of which are part of the Legends and Lattes series by Travis Baldree. They’ve also been rereading a firm favourite, Good Omens by Terry Pratchett (and Terry Pratchett alone - neither Roo nor anyone at LitPins condone the other person sometimes associated with this book), and Cemetery Boys: Espíritu by Aiden Thomas, which he is loving!

Jamie: It’s been a very hectic month at LitPins so the only book that Jamie finished this month is The Lotus Empire by Tasha Suri, which she really enjoyed! She’s also currently reading Victorious by V. E. Schwab, and of course she’s loving it.

That’s all for now! Have a great week everyone, and stay hydrated in the heat 💛

- The LitPins&Co Team
